Hair Styling Tips

You want to go blonde, but you don’t want to look like you’re wearing a wig. You want dimension. You want that “expensive,” lived-in look.

The two most popular techniques in Singapore right now are Balayage and Airtouch. They look similar on Instagram, but the process (and the grow-out) is completely different.

The Technical Breakdown

Balayage

The Process: Freehand painting. The stylist “sweeps” bleach onto the surface of the hair.

The Look: High contrast. Darker roots melting into lighter ends. Sun-kissed and organic.

Best For: Wavy/Curled styling. The dimension pops when hair has movement.

Airtouch

The Process: We use a blow dryer to push “baby hairs” out of each foil section.

The Look: Seamless blend. No harsh lines. It looks like you were born blonde.

Best For: Straight/Smooth styling. The blend is so perfect it looks good even when flat.
